Founder

Srijal Gupta is the founder of Mofussil Forum and a public interest worker based in Pathankot, Punjab. He is the Founder-Director of Caledonian International School, a UNESCO ASPnet-affiliated school in Pathankot, where he also serves as UNESCO ASPnet Coordinator. He is the curator of TEDxCaledonian. His passion is taking Pathankot to the corners of Europe and bringing the world to Pathankot. He has hosted world-class events in the city, including TEDxCaledonian and JunctionX Pathankot, the local chapter of the international hackathon network.

His work rests on a simple belief: India’s small towns and mid-sized cities deserve the same access to knowledge, networks and opportunity as the metros. He is the author of Pratisthana’s Promise, a book on institution-building and

Pathankot’s historical identity, and he has spent years promoting the city’s history, culture and identity.

He is an Aspen Institute Vanguard Member and a Chatham House Geopolitics of Technology Leadership Fellow (2026 cohort), and he advises Generation Global. He is affiliated with the World Economic Forum, the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and the US-India Chamber of Commerce.

Mofussil Forum is the next step in that work: a lasting structure through which towns on both continents can meet, learn and trade.
